PROJECT SUMMARY

The Roadrunner School is a single phase project that will include demolition of the existing large classroom building and administration building, renovating the North classroom building, and construction of approximately 21,800 SF of new classroom space and administration for the new Roadrunner School.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Below are a list of questions and answers regarding the renovations being made to Roadrunner School:

Q: What is the Project Schedule?
A: Demolition of the large Building “A” will begin the week of October 19th, 2020, Construction will begin immediately after. The Roadrunner’s Substantial Completion Date is June 30, 2021 with Final Completion being July 23rd, 2021.

Q: What will the exact working hours be and what type of noise can I expect in the neighborhood?
A: The working hours have changed for the following months. Starting Feb. 1st, 2021 through April 30th, 2021 work hours will be 7:00am - 7:00pm. Starting May 1st, 2021 through September 30th, 2021 work hours will be 6:00am - 7:00pm. Select construction will be completed after 2:00pm everyday to help minimize the construction noise in the community. Sun Valley Builders and Team will do our very best to keep disruptions to everyday life to a minimum. Please feel free to reach out to your Community Contact if construction noise increases.

Q: Will the new building be one story or two stories tall (or more)? 
A: There will be a total of (7) new buildings being constructed. Each building will be one-story. The existing Buildings “B” and “C” are to remain at their current height.

Q: Will the existing Baseball Fields and Altadena Park be impacted by the construction project?
A: No, a temporary construction fence will be placed around the project site. The Baseball Field as well as Altadena Park will be open to the community throughout construction.

Q: Will the new school that is being built still be an "Alternative Learning" school or will it be changed?
A: Roadrunner School will remain a K-12 Alternative Learning Program.

Q: What is the intended capacity of Roadrunner School?
A: The original capacity of the school will be approx. 280 students for this unique program and has future construction planned to increase capacity to approx. 450 students.
