Sierra Linda Culinary Arts Remodel and Kitchen Addition

The Tolleson Union High School District Sierra Linda High School Culinary Arts Remodel and Kitchen Addition project consisted of a complete gut out of the Home-EC Kitchen/Classroom. Sun Valley Builders replaced all residential equipment to high-end restaurant equipment for a student to have a full understanding of what it would be like to work in a culinary kitchen. Three classrooms were converted, one into a Cafe with a heated serving bar, another was converted into a full restaurant culinary and the last was converted into an instructional classroom. The instructional classroom was converted into a university-level instructional experience with three flat-screen monitors and cameras to show the students all visuals of the kitchen at their desks.
