Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial operations and reporting for the construction projects.
- Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for management review.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards specific to the construction industry.
- Lead and mentor the accounting team to achieve departmental objectives.
- Conduct financial analysis to support strategic planning and decision-making processes.
- Implement and improve internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Proven experience as a Controller or in a similar accounting role within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction accounting principles and practices.
- Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Excel; experience with Sage Intacct and Procore are a plus.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills to effectively manage the finance team.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
