Controller

Primary Responsibilities
  • Oversee all financial operations and reporting for the construction projects.
  • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial projections.
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and reports for management review.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards specific to the construction industry.
  • Lead and mentor the accounting team to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Conduct financial analysis to support strategic planning and decision-making processes.
  • Implement and improve internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Controller or in a similar accounting role within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Excel; experience with Sage Intacct and Procore are a plus.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills to effectively manage the finance team.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
